Private Lessons

At The Mermaid School, we believe that everyone should have the chance to explore their inner mermaid or merman in a safe and fun environment. That's why we offer one-on-one lessons tailored specifically to your goals and needs. Whether you're a shy swimmer looking to try something new, or an experienced mermaid looking to perfect your technique, we're here to help you achieve your goals while having a blast in the water. These sessions will include:

How to put on and take off a tail safely
Teaching a safe entry and exit of the pool
Learning how to swim in the monofin and tail skin
Playing fun-themed games
Practicing mermaid skills e.g. Bubble kisses, bubble rings and turns

Prices

1 swimmer : £65 (+£35 pool hire)

2 swimmers : £47.50 each (+£35 pool hire)

3 swimmers : £40 each (+£35 pool hire)

Swim Test

To take part in a session the participant must be able to do the following skills that will be tested at the beginning of each session:

Able to swim 25 meters competently on their front
Able to fully submerge their face unaided
Able to demonstrate lifting their knees and performing a full 360° rotation
Able to demonstrate treading water for 30 seconds
Able to demonstrate an undulating leg action (dolphin leg action) with the face submerged for five meters.

Safety

Safety is massively important to us so we unfortunately won't be able to allow participants to wear a monofin and tail if they don't pass the safety test. Our Mermaid tail skins are from Mertailor which is one of the world's largest companies supplying high quality safe tails. Our monofins are Mermaid Linden and are safely tested and recommended by the STA and Mermaids Swim UK.
